MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT DEBUTS AT THE WASHINGTON CROSSING OPEN AIR THEATRE
Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 26

Rude Frenchmen, cancan dancers, the Lady of the Lake and her Laker Girls, Killer rabbits, catapulting cows and the somewhat odd Knights who say "ni" are just part of the adventures and dangers awaiting King Arthur and his knights of the very very very round table in Monty Python's Spamalot set for a three weekend run at the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre. With performances set to begin on Friday, July 10, the musical comedy continues through Sunday, July 26 with Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances at 7:30 pm.

Lovingly ripped off from the motion picture "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," Monty Python's Spamalot is a recent Broadway hit and irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend. It was nominated for 14 Tony Awards, winning three including Best New Musical for 2005. The story of Monty Python's Spamalot starts in 932 A.D. in England where King Arthur and his servant Patsy set off to recruit men to join his Round Table and embark on a quest for the Holy Grail. With music and lyrics by the Grammy-Award winning team of Eric Idle and John Du Prez, show-stopping musical numbers include "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" and "Find Your Grail."

The Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre production of Monty Python's Spamalot will be performed on Friday, July 10, Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 at 7:30 pm. The show returns for two additional weekends with 7:30 pm performances on July 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Tickets to shows at the Open Air Theatre can be purchased at the Box Office one half hour prior to any performance. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children (ages 12 and under) and $12 for seniors (ages 65 and older.)  Tickets can always be purchased at the Open Air Theatre Box Office a half-hour prior to the performance. Group discounts are available.
