Inaugural Paddle Battle New Hope vs Lambertville Dragon Boat Race
Event Date: 6/3/2016   Time: 5:30 pm
Location: New Hope and Lambertville, , ,
Author: Stephen Harris, dragon@ampyourvoice.com

Up for the challenge? Which town will reign supreme on the Delaware River? New Hope? Lambertville? Dragon Boat Adventures, llc and Amplify Your Voice; social marketing for local business, are co-producing a new cross-bridge challenge on the Delaware River, a Dragon boat race between New Hope and Lambertville, where we plan to raise over $10,000 for local charities. This will be a best of three races, with each race being approx 3-4 minutes in length. Dragon boats have a traditional Chinese design, typically decorated to resemble a dragon, propelled with paddles by a large crew and used for racing. They are safe and will be manned by experienced Dragon boat racers. The Bucks County Playhouse Terrace Café has provided their grounds for our viewing and after-party, featuring a special Dragon drink. PA NJ Radio, our local Digital Radio station, will be providing live coverage and the SPLASH Paddle Boat will be on the water offering a finish line experience. The boats will include members of our local police, fire and EMT/Rescue squad, to really amp up the competition. Mayor Larry Keller is the captain of the New Hope boat team, while Mayor David DelVecchio will Captain the Lambertville dragon boat. We are having a party with a great purpose! Come join us! Rain Date or if the river is not suitable or safe is July 1st.
