Lorimer Park is a haven for wildlife under a canopy of huge trees. For the angler, Pennypack Creek is stocked with trout by the PA Fish & Boat Commission. Adjacent to the facility, 5.75 miles of the former Fox Chase-Newtown rail line has been converted to a recreational trail. This 235-acre complex is unique to Pennsylvania in that it harbors the best-protected Coastal Plain Forest left in the state. It is part of the 460-acre park and Silver Lake which is the terminus of the Mill Creek, Queen Anne Creek, and the Black Ditch Creek Watershed.
The main building houses a multipurpose auditorium, exhibit room depicting that which is unique to the park, offices, the Barnswallow Gift Shop, and a reference library. Immediately outside the building is a large meadow. Nearby, a 60-person amphitheater is designed for campfires and shows.

Stover-Myers Mill, which comprises 26 acres along the Tohickon Creek in Bedmnster Township on Dark Hollow Road and the creek in Pipersville. Originally, this mill started as a water-powered gristmill/sawmill and was later powered by steam. Owned by Jacob Stover in the early 1800's, the Stover-Myers Mill produced flour and animal feed for regional and local consumption.

Washington Crossing Historic Park was founded in 1917 to perpetuate and preserve the site from which the Continental Army crossed the Delaware River. This purpose is achieved by interpreting the historical significance of this site for thousands of Park visitors each year through tours, exhibits and various special events. The spirit of the 1776 Crossing is recreated every year on Christmas Day when the annual reenactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware takes place on December 25. In this annual reenactment the visitor can see reenactors in Continental military dress cross the river in the replica Durham boats.

The Wilma Quinlan Nature Preserve is a 26+ acre natural area located along the Neshaminy Creek that is owned and maintained by New Britain Borough. The woods and fields of the Preserve are set aside for habitat preservation and passive recreation. The Preserve's numerous trails are intended for nature study, wildlife observation, and birding. The Preserve includes a 2.7 acre wildflower meadow.
The main entrance is located on Mathews Avenue. Mathews Avenue is closed to through traffic near the Preserve, however, it can be accessed using Sand Road off of Butler Avenue. Miriam's Meadow is located along Landis Mill Road and can be accessed using Mathews Avenue or Aarons Avenue. There is an entrance to the Preserve on Landis Mill Road as well. It is an easy walk from SEPTA's New Britain Train Station where the R5 Lansdale/Doylestown Line makes regular stops seven days a week.
