Ed Johnson, retired history teacher and president of the Goschenhoppen Historians, tells the long history of the Warriors' Path, later known as the Philadelphia Great Wagon Road. An early trail worn down by eastern bison, it was used by the Iroquois and then European settlers. This is a free lecture which is available in-person and on Zoom. A History of Your Favorite Pennsylvania Dutch Foods and Culinary Customs: A Taste of Germany - two exhibits to tantalize your taste buds! Your Favorite Pennsylvania Dutch Foods will trace the origins of traditional recipes of Pennsylvania Dutch such as pot pie, scrapple, and potato filling through objects, photographs, manuscripts, and memories. We will be comparing and contrasting our Pennsylvania culinary heritage with that of Germany with a special borrowed panel exhibit from the German-American Heritage Center and Museum in Davenport, Iowa.
