Newtown Arts Company and the Newtown Theatre have teamed up to create Master Class Monday - an arts-education series with an emphasis on theater and film. This eight-class series runs on Mondays from September 16 to November 11. Separate classes are offered for students (age 10 - 14) and adults (high school and up) with an interest in learning new skills, honing current skills, or just having fun with like-minded people. Each session is limited to 25 participants and will focus on a different area of performance, production, or creative expression. Instructors are all industry professionals from New York, Philadelphia or Bucks County, including Thayne Jasperson, original and current cast member of Broadway's "Hamilton." Sessions include "Improv 101," "Technology for Theater." "Broadway Dance," "Character Creation," and "Stage Combat Fundamentals" among others. Cost is $250 per registrant for the entire eight-week series. All classes are held at the Newtown Theatre, located at 120 North State Street in Newtown Borough.
