We've seen our local talented artists do some amazing work, but there's nothing quite like the incredible jack-o-lantern carvings they create this time of year! Here are 4 opportunities to be amazed!
CB Cares Educational Foundation in partnership with the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation hosts Pumpkinfest amidst the archways of the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in historic Doylestown. Pumpkinfest will showcase area artists who carve out enormous 100-300 lb pumpkins into glowing masterpieces which take the artists up to six hours to sculpt, carve, and bring to life. This event attracts people from all regions to witness the magical transformation of these giant gourds. There will be food trucks, inflatable amusements, live music and more! Grounds open at 2 pm; $10/carload 2 - 4pm; $20/carload 4pm - close.

PUMPKINFEST WEBSITE
Some of the region's best artists have transformed fifty giant pumpkins for a walk-through exhibit at the beautiful, historic Howell Living History Farm! Come enjoy the amazing pumpkins and then the 4-acre corn maze, challenging visitors to answer trivia questions and find puzzle pieces to complete a map which will show the way out.

PUMPKIN CARVE WEBSITE
Jack-O-Lantern Lane at the Da Vinci Science Center is a spectacular display of 50 artisan-quality Jack-O-Lanterns made by renowned pumpkin artist Ian Fetterman of Easton. These individually hand-carved works of art are set amongst a family-friendly walk-through experience through Halloween Town. Meander through the not-so-spooky forest to a magical candy house! Don't forget to add science with the exploration of bioluminescence and dry ice in the Witch's cauldron, along with some fun candy experiments. There will also be Hack-O-Lantern Live Science Shows where you can observe Jack-O-Lantern carving with power drills, saws, and even liquid nitrogen. See website for times.

DA VINCI SCIENCE CENTER WEBSITE
No, it's not in our neighborhood but this one HAS to be mentioned in case you're up for the trip! This is a walk-through display of over 7,000 illuminated jack-o-lanterns created by local artists! Wander along the main street Pumpkin Promenade and stroll across the Pumpkin Zee Bridge. Around the next corner, discover an awe-inspiring jack o'lantern Statue of Liberty rising to the sky! Twirl with excitement as you witness a fully functioning, 20-foot diameter Pumpkin Carousel. Gaze in wonder at swimming aquatic creatures and a giant Sea Serpent surfacing next to the Croton River. Get mesmerized by a color-changing star show in the Pumpkin Planetarium. Complete with sound effects, elaborate synchronized lighting and music. This event sold out every night last year, so be sure to pre-purchase tickets! All ages.
