As in the past, crafters, demonstrators, entertainment, and many of the activities will be set up along the streets of Fallsington and on Meetinghouse Square. Therefore, in order to provide safe space for the event as well as the safety of our visitors, Village streets will be closed to vehicular traffic. People arriving by car will be directed to ample parking at the Fallsington Elementary School.

Dressed in traditional regalia, headpieces made of deer tail and porcupine hair, bustles resplendent with eagle and hawk feathers, descendants of the Delaware Indian Nations, will perform traditional Native American dances. Led by the “Head Dancer” of many powwows, Walter Anderson, this dance ensemble known as Rising Turtle will not only entertain the audience, but will share the culture and traditions of the indigenous people of our area the great Lenni Lenape.

Gather ‘round and watch the antics of some of the best-known performers of all time,Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre will present Punch & Judy. These heroes of the puppet stage will perform with traditional merry madness and plenty of mayhem to the delight of the kid in all of us.

In the tradition of the great vaudevillian acts, the Give & Take Jugglers will travel ‘round juggling balls, and rings and lots-o-things!

Folksinger and storyteller Richard McLaughlin captures center stage taking you on a musical journey with tales and songs of inspiration and remembrance.

The Heritage Dancers, attired in authentically reproduced colonial costumes, will once again grace our stage entertaining us with dances from our colonial past. An 18th century fashion show complete with muffs, masks, and ruffs will be offered in the Falls Meeting House following their performance.

A Quaker Presence will provide hands-on Colonial children’s games and quill pen writing for the young and the young-at-heart.

We also welcome back the Philadelphia Handmade Paper Co. who will interpret and demonstrate the art of paper making in early America.

Susan McLellan Plaisted, proprietress of Heart to Hearth Cookery will demonstrate Lenni Lenape foodways, - their use of such resources land, game, water, and gardens for food.

“Past Master”, Clarissa Dillion has spent many years researching the food-ways of our forefathers and will interpret and demonstrate Colonial cooking over open flames. The foodstuff and recipes are authentic to the Colonial period and would have been prepared and eaten by the early settlers in this area.

Also adding to our domestic skills of yore is Nora Doan who will demonstrate and interpret the age-old art of spinning.

Horse drawn village hayrides will be offered by the mighty Belgium steeds from A Better Ways Farm of Newtown.

All museum buildings will be open. Visit the Moon-Williamson Log House, one of the oldest log houses in America still standing on its original site; the Stagecoach Tavern, first licensed in 1799; and the Federal-style Burgess-Lippincott House, home of the village doctor.

Other highlights of the day include sales from Grandmother’s Trunk, a book sale, a bake sale, pony rides,and more!

A wide array of tasty foods sure to satisfy the hungriest of appetites will be available for sale all day!

In conjunction with Historic Fallsington Day, our community partners the Fallsington Library, the Fallsington United Methodist Church, All Saints Episcopal Church, and Fallsington Elementary School’s PTO will also host various activities.

Last but not least! Our drawing for the highly coveted Fallsington Quilt will take place on Meetinghouse Square! Visitors can view the one-of-a-kind handmade quilt on display throughout the day. Raffle tickets will be available up until the very last minute prior to the drawing. Why not try your luck? Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
