With the closing of Heaven’s Treasures Thrift & Value Stores (formerly Impact Thrift) earlier this month, donors and shoppers still have a local alternative – the Habitat ReStores in Chalfont and Langhorne. Bargain hunters can find everything for the home including the kitchen sink. The ReStores sell stoves, microwaves, small appliances, refrigerators, washing machines, tables, bookcases, sofas, chairs, desks, antiques and collectibles, framed art and picture frames, lighting, bathroom vanities, medicine cabinets, toilets, area rugs, flooring, power tools and more.

Due to the closing of Heaven’s Treasures, Habitat Bucks ReStores have seen an increased demand for donation pickups and are responding by adding a fifth full-time truck route to service Bucks County. The employees who lost their jobs at Heaven’s Treasures are encouraged to apply for employment with the ReStores.

Proceeds from the ReStores enable Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County to build more homes, and help others renovate and repair homes at prices they can afford. Donations to the Habitat ReStores also keep the planet a little greener by recycling and upcycling. Overall, the Bucks County ReStore programs raised $480,000 last year and diverted 2.5 million pounds from landfills.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore located at 31 Oak Avenue, Suite 100 in Chalfont opened in 2005. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore located at 1337 E Lincoln Hwy in Langhorne opened in 2016 to serve Lower Bucks County. The ReStores will pick up larger items for free. To arrange a free donation pick-up, visit  Habitat Bucks or call (215) 822-2708.
